If only the City of Yes would approve of garden sheds to be converted into "Garden Apartments", complete with Porta Potties piped to curbside sewage disposal, NYC's housing crisis could be at long last solved !!! Of course, extension cords could provide electric and tenant funding could be provided by Section 8 housing. Property Taxes will be adjusted accordingly to generate additional revenue so that The City of Yes can provide even more fabulous services that we have come accustomed to ! Simply put, there is no downside to this exciting innovation to improve our lives !!!

Yep. Housing and rent crisis. No surprise. More homeless and higher rents if the city cracks down.
How is this apartment allowed? If the basement is living space it’s supposed to have egress windows. And depending on how many apartments it must have a sprinkler system.
