1 day agoHoover HammelIf NYC could only completely eliminate street parking by claiming stationary dumpsters are the only way to effectively pick up waste, private vehicle ownership will plummet and everyone can enjoy using public transportation and citizens will virtually remain in their respective sector !

James McNellisWhere can we still get copies of that or is there a place online you can view the articles? I always enjoyed them.
5 days agoJacob HuelstrunkWe all know what we don't want. First question is there a need for more direct public transportation between Brooklyn and Queens? If the answer is yes then what's the best way to do it. Second question is is there a need for more housing in NYC? If so, what's the best way to provide it and make it affordable? Can wait to see the responses.😀

6 days agoDa ScNeighborhoods like Middle Village, Glendale, Maspeth are the exact types of places they will target to ruin.
5 days ago 8Rob C TerceroThe IBX is an expensive bus route that won't serve commuters or shoppers well. There are no lots to infill and most of the properties in Middle Village are 1/8 acre at a million dollars a pop, minimum. It doesn't make sense. Unless we're talking about blockbusting.

5 days agoDa ScYou have to realize that if Mamdani wins they will take aim at Juniper Park and try to take it and build apartments on it. They won’t leave open land like that undeveloped.

1 day agoVipin MahajanTradeable building permits for existing property owners anyone?
6 days agoJennifer GrayI’m sorry I cannot find the article. Where is this supposed to take place and when? Is it apartment buildings and a train station? Can someone point me in the direction of an article on this. Thank you.
5 days agoDaniel PryorNo, say it ain’t so. We don’t need trust fund babies coming to our neighborhood

6 days agoAndrew R. Garofalo SrIt already taken place. I was born and raised 61-## 77 street when there was only one family houses mostly with small pieces of land. Move upstate in 1980 have come back to look around a few times and I cannot believe how terribly crowded Middle Village has become with those multifamily attached townhouses.

5 days agoCarol J. BawerMiddle Village has been lucky to remain kind of a secret neighborhood for decades, and has been able to keep its close-community feel, smalltown lifestyle and its safety. Bringing this rail line into our town will blow us up and ruin the lifestyles most of us enjoy here. I was born and still live here, like most of my neighbors. Why leaders don't think about this when adding "enhancements" is beyond me. If they are moving ahead with this, we need legislation to limit the changes made to housing and commerce. Ready to protest.
5 days ago 12Da ScI can see Mamdani and his supporters just taking over Juniper Park and putting thousands of apartments on it. It’s perfect for the destruction of neighborhoods that he wants
