Can you post this in Glendale Civic Association group please?

Barbecues in Juniper Park-- coming soon

I agree! Let’s fight this. We need to keep our neighborhoods safe.

I really can’t imagine Middle Village ever becoming that gentrified. It’s so far from the city via public transportation.

Then comes the eminent domain

Yup, I read that they estimated that 37k new units if housing can be built in middle village alone

Will this cause our property values to go down if living near the train?

Santino Vicino

William Beuther

Dear everyone! Please provide a list or steps on how to fight prevent and reduce all possibilities. If we can gather steps to fight and prevent, I would not mind leading a pack to ensure we follow and make every attempt possible. I was pushed out of wiliamburg as a born native. I refuse to have it done again in Glendale.

Please don’t we don’t want another Williamsburg/bushwick

Let's continue to FIGHT THIS. WE DO NOT WANT OR NEED THIS IBX!

The sewer & electric infrastructure cannot support us today, how could we possibly handle a significant increase in residents?!

The question is CAN we fight it? Residents of maspeth, middle village and elmhurst and perhaps all areas of queens affected need a joint meeting with our elected officials as soon as possible to discuss the most effective process to fight this.

This is why I moved. Once that homeless shelter went up on Cooper I knew it was only a matter of time till it got worse. Sad. They’re gonna do whatever they want at the end.

People get what they voted for! And people who don’t vote are to blame even more!

Can someone explain it to me? How is possible around the Juniper Park. Only private houses around...

CITY SUCKS

All this crap and then we might get a new mayor that's a socialist what's going on in the city

This needs to be stopped! Fix our current infrastructure issues first!!!

Horror. Why do they have to rezone after IBX? Totally ridiculous.

We need to fight it. Horrible....... they'll destroy our neighborhood. But sad thing we prob have no say at this point. They're gonna do what they want.

They are destroying our neighborhoods

This needs to be stopped dead in its tracks… literally. Over my dead body will this come to pass.

Time to move, becoming a ghetto

NYC living is exhausting. 😑 ... See MoreSee Less

NYC would lose 300,000 parking spots and $3B under this lefty City Council plan

nypost.com

NYC drivers would lose roughly 300,000 parking spots and taxpayers would be in the hole for $3 billion under a bill being fast-tracked by far-left City Council members.

For a while there was a rule prohibiting high profile vehicles from parking less than 10 feet from the corner. It helped me at the corner of 82nd Place and Penelope. There's no way to see over or through SUV's with tinted windows. Maybe just check where there are issues and limit who can park in the spot closest to the corner

Wait till Mondami gets elected. This city is finished 👍

What about CitiBike racks? Instead of putting them on plazas, triangles, parks or wide sidewalks, they put them wherever they want, with no input or guidance from communities. I've personally seen, in Corona, by Newtown HS, bike racks in the street, taking up let's say 5 parking spots, and across the street, there's a Parks Department Triangle. No benches, no tree pits, no play equipment. Perfect spot for CitiBike racks. The people that select the spots for CitiBike locations probably don't even live in NYC. They just haphazardly and without consideration place them wherever they want. It's high time that communities tell THEM where we want these racks, if we even want them at all. Who's with me?

That is utter stupidity. Vote these jerks out!°

Sounds like an issue for car owners.

The cars aren’t the problem The pedestrians are THEY DONT LOOK They are very busy in their cell phones. I drive and see it every day all over. People just walk wo looking up wo looking at the lights etc Stop crucifying drivers. Start educating pedestrians!

This city has become a shit show and unbearable to live nor to sustain for anyone, even the unemployed and homeless.

If they put 4 way stop signs it would solve the problem. Parking too close to corners blocks visibility and that is dangerous.

There would be no need if people follow signage and common sense. On the corner of 82 Place and 63 Ave, there is a no parking sign, yet people park there all the time. Cars, trucks, double parked trucks making deliveries. There is a laundromat there and I understand people sometimes need to unload, however, most times it’s people who are just too lazy. You cannot see on thst corner to make a turn.

There is no quality of life left in Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island. Queens is overcrowded with nonstop unending construction everywhere. Illegal basement apartments, shelters, not enough police to handle the crime. People all over the world don't understand or realize or care that New York City is NOT just Manhattan where all the tourists go and money is generated. There are four overcrowded undeserved other boros. We deserve better.

Maybe there should be a law about idiots texting or looking at their phones while crossing? Walking? Also, there already IS A LAW that trucks or vans can not park on corners. These laws are not enforced, neither are commercial vehicles parked on streets at all hours. ENFORCE THE LAWS THAT ALREADY EXIST.

Julie Won needs to be removed.

And they want to bring in more congestion with the building of large apartment buildings. Con Ed can’t keep up now. Sanitation over loaded. Yet let’s build 10,000 more! Nuts.

16 months until retirement. My house goes to the Chinese person who brings the most side cash.

Parking is already a nightmare, but liberals hate cars

Wake up New York let me tell you why this happened (mamdami), INDOCTRINATED COLLEGE TRANSPLANTS! These jerkoffs are the only ones that go out and vote! You lazy self absorbed New Yorkers just sit home and do not vote! By claiming "I do not like anybody so screw it" is a massive problem across the country! This is how things like this happens! Look at the numbers, less then 10% of New Yorkers vote in a city of nearly 9 million! Reep what you sow! GENTRIFICATION IS THE DOWNFALL OF NYC! And crooked politicians love it and cator to them for votes.

And everyone who got their bill yesterday was flabbergasted!!!

All more reason for No on City of Yes

But let’s all get electric cars & stoves 😂

So they reduced voltage.. But I'm sure as he'll they aren't going to reduce you bill accordingly now are they???. 🤔 💭 🤔 💭 🤔 💭 🤔

Quick question, all you people that have seen your bills double and triple ...did you get those new meters like two years back?

385 for one month … ridiculous considering not one day has the AC been able to reach his max capacity unless you’re standing right in front of it you don’t feel anything

Mine is autrageus, did you see the 2nd page how many taxes are we paying? Just look at it we pay double taxes.

Had a feeling. Have the ac on and it’s cooler outside.

Thank you for update

Here we go again.

They didn't say Maspeth in that press release. We have our voltage reduced too.

Con Ed can’t keep up with the electric grid but they want everyone to get rid of gas stoves and cars.

And thier raiseing the rates in 2026 January too either 13 or 16 % do you know anyone thats gets a pay raise of 13 oer 16 % a year exactly just pushing people further & further behind the 8 ball.

They need to tell people not to charge their electric cars

And this service and they want to raise our rates even more. 🤦‍♂️

Reduce the voltage but want to increase the bills. While I’m sweating my balls off. I wonder would they stick a voltage reader up their arse.

The only reason Con Edison gets away with this is because of the “donkeys” in Albany that we continue to elect.

Yet my bill doubled this month and I’ve used the same electricity as last month! They’re out of control and this needs to be stopped!

Got one question are they going to reduced the rates are we still going to get charged the regular rates or maybe more I know they just been careful to make sure we don’t get a blackout but this is not new 🤷🏻‍♀️

City sucks. Con Ed sucks even more. They should be locked up

New York is a joke we are worst than a third world country with power train stains roads and more.

They continue to raise rates and service is awful.

612.00 for one month! But haven’t really turned it off either.

Our hearts are heavy over the tragic loss of life in last night’s mass killing.

God bless Officer Islam and all the victims, and we thank him for his service to our city.
