We were informed by the owner of this Sprinter camper at our June meeting that although it was featured in a City Council press release that was printed in this magazine as an example of illegal RV parking, it is in fact, legal, is frequently parked outside her own home, and has never received a summons despite relentless calls regarding its presence. The council member’s office disagrees, stating that the law is not being interpreted correctly by NYPD. The current regulation states that Class B camper vans may not be parked for more than 24 hours in the same space. We hope this issue gets resolved amicably. To be continued.
