There is a recent scam taking place within the 104, 108 and 110 Precincts. As of late, we have seen a trend of individuals being approached and having their jewelry removed. Please stay alert while walking throughout the neighborhood. We urge you to not wear large amounts of visible jewelry. Do not approach strangers’ vehicles if they ask for help or directions and do not allow strangers to get close to you. The scammers are very skilled at surreptitiously removing your valuable jewelry and replacing it with worthless jewelry. If you are a victim of this crime, call 911 immediately.
