This year marks America’s 250th anniversary and it’s amazing to think that we’ve come this far. What started out as an experiment – self-governance, individual liberty, and a representative democracy without royalty – has stood the test of time. Keeping the country one that we are proud to live in is what civic activism is all about. We fight on the local level to make sure that we pass down a society that will allow our children and our country to thrive. As we celebrate the first 250 years, we honor those who came before us who built our towns and maintained our quality of life.
