I am IN Juniper Park 6 out of 7 days/week. Always. I have never, ever seen or heard any problems like these, until NOW. There is never and has never ever been police, law enforcement presence in or around the park since I moved back to MV 27 years ago. I never SEE police. Never. NYPD OR park police. That all of a sudden blame is being placed on Mamdani is absurd. Having said that, some of the bicycle riding 'kids', teenagers are so rude, nasty, and borderline dangerous, and they're, ahem, clears throat, well dressed, with nice bikes, white boys. And what about The Queens Way? What does that have to do with this? BTW, it was started under Adams.
This kids on bike have been terrorizing park goers for three years now, I don't understand why nothing is done. Maybe because they're considered Juveniles?

Starting to believe the criminals being released, no cash bail, soft on crime setups are all a playbook to let serious crime take over. Then here comes the left saying I can stop this but you may have to give up your rights, your money whatever. So you'll trade your safety for heavy policing and security. History tells us this never ends well.

So the people that reported it said it took them 7 minutes to respond, Wong posted it took 2 minutes and now this says 3 minutes. Want to guess who is telling the truth?

They call it drag racing??? Setting fires near 2 gas stations and doing donuts while waving palestinian flags is not drag racing. It's planned disturbances and intimidation tactics by certain groups. It's going to be a long summer.

Too little too late. 1 car out of 100 gets a summons? No arrests? This city is finished. Cops whining they're not appreciated, understaffed, unsupported by elected officials and everyone blaming democrats and liberals is skirting the real issue. Our elected officials have failed us, ALL of them. We are prisoners in our homes, can't wear jewelry, take money out of the bank, go out at night. Its disgusting!

Perhaps we're overreacting just a tad? Back in the day behavior like this was confined to industrial and other non-residential areas. I'm not condoning these actions, then or now, but I bet a good percentage of the outraged people participated in similar activities. I know I did.

Given what happened To that Nypd Sergeant for throwing a cooler at someone fleeing, how could any honest New Yorker expect the NYPD to clean this mess up. If ANY force has to be used or a participant gets injured as a result of a chase (which are forbidden for such events) of any kind, the Mayor, the District Attorney, the Complaint Review. Board will all over the police. I feel for the residents but without the support of the Administration, this will not be easily resolved.

All those cameras that get me doing a mph over the speed limit should be able to ID some of these folks. Rather than the police sitting in their cars and giving me a summons when they think I didn’t fully stop at a stop sign when no person or car was even there they should focus on this stuff. But then again doing that would require some effort

My uncle, a retired NYC detective lived like 5 doors down from that Mobile station on the left. I worked there as a kid. He’d be rolling over in his grave if he saw that shit today!! SMFH. Used to be a great neighborhood especially Juniper Valley Park!! 🤬
