On July 28, an electrical fire devastated the commercial area of Dry Harbor Road. Four businesses were destroyed. The fire started at Bubble Works Cleaners and quickly spread via a shared cockloft to three other stores: Dry Harbor Wine & Spirits, Jade Bamboo, and Sudden Impulse Hairstyling. Insurance should cover the damage, and we hope they are back up and running soon. Thankfully, it happened at a time when the businesses were closed, so no employees or patrons were injured, but several firefighters were treated at local hospitals after the blaze.
