RIDGEWOOD, Queens (PIX11) — A bus in Queens was towed after neighbors complained about how it sat idle for months. The owner of the bus is now speaking out about why it was there in the first…Charge him for the towing and any other related expenses.
The owner sounds like an entitled creep.
We don't want his "cultural space" here or his Sob story. There would have been all kinds of loudness going on after hours. He won't get a penny.

This makes no sense. We have Sunday night trash and Wednesday recycle and trash. So the compostable waste (are bags required in the pails?) rots in our backyards and on the streets for a week between pickups?? That will be great in the summer! How do they enforce. Are they opening all of the secured lid garbage containers (the last money grab) to make sure there’s no compostable waste. Seriously, give us a break! Our neighborhood has far more serious concerns that should be addressed.
Does anyone know if we can use paper/ plastic bags in the waste containers? If yes I think it’s ok .But if not then to put food/yard waste etc directly into containers is going to be nasty . Dirty and smelly , maggots and flies. Then to wash them every week with water being so expensive and time consuming.
And if you are a landlord you are supposed to sit in your tenants kitchen to make sure they do it ????
I'm going to sit outside my house on pick up days and video where the garbage from those brown cans are going to go. I will lay you odds they're going to go in with the regular trash in those trucks.
I don't get this screwed up City!

I separate everything & then the garbage men throw it in regular garbage

Some people are such complainers. We need to reduce our waste. There are 8 million people in NYC and the Garbage doesn’t vaporize.
Last time i tried that we got maggots and flies. How do we prevent maggots when you have to save the food scraps for 7 days when it is hot out?
Will it actually be enforced? Has the mandatory bin law been enforced everywhere?
What is the tenants refuse to use the brown cans? Who will get the ticket if it is a 2-6 family home?

Another waste of taxpayer money. It failed when it was voluntary because of the stink and the flies so instead of cutting its losses some commie City Council woman endorses a bill to make it mandatory and the rest of the idiots in the city council voted for it, and the mayor signed it into law. You know what’s gonna happen next right? They’re going to start telling you when you can walk on the sidewalk and where you can walk. The city is shot.
Two more slated to go tomorrow. One parked by the new veterans center, the other parked on Starr Street. Both being handled by Alicia Vaichunas.

You guys are good. You have a great CM. Over here in Flushing we have CM Sandra Ung, who just doesnt get it does little to nothing for the community and the mega issues we have here prioritizing attending Asian parties and gatherings and business association meetings as if she’s a rock star. So sad what people vote for.
