Just a reminder that DSNY picks up via community driveways as a courtesy. They have asked that residents put their trash in front of their homes for now. Please be respectful and follow instructions. ... See MoreSee Less
And shovel/maintain YOUR community drives too! Have pride in your community.
I shoveled out my driveway and made sure the sanitation workers have a clear path to my garbage cans. When I had a home with a fire hydrant I made sure that there was no snow around the hydrant for three feet all around it and it was a corner home so I also cleared both walkways to the street. Common courtesy people.
Just a Thought: when they pick up in the community drives they are able to get 2 blocks of garbage at once. Isn't that more expedient?

Senator Gianaris is not seeking re-election ... See MoreSee Less
Who?
Glad I moved
The next 1 will be another member of the dsa
The people of Queens want it to be Cuba
Never did anything for our community so no big loss. Hopefully we will get a state senator that will care about our area, like Senator Joe Addabbo . We hated when we got redistricted out of his district. He actually cares about his constituents.
He states- While the States Senate is in good hands with the current members of the Democrat conference…blah blah blah. Are you kidding? Well the good news is that there will be one less red Marxist Elite driving the city to destruction.
No loss for maspeth he never did anything for his constituents ..
He was as useless as they come

They verified that all the trees will be removed from the west side of the CSX tracks and that they still need to satisfy CSX before anything can proceed in our area. ... See MoreSee Less
I thought the original plan was to use the existing rail line. Now they want it adjacent?
Has anybody read and understood the second sentence? Not a single comment/objection about the possibility of ELEVATING the IBX OVER Eliot and Caldwell Aves? Does nobody envision what a monstrosity that would be?
Yup, and increase the overall width to 90ft. Which is about the width of 4 row houses for comparison. The good news is that they do not have federal money and will delay the start. We have roughly 25-30 years before it gets built so we have some time 😂
Go Green,not
That’s going to be wonderful
No to having a stop in Middle Village
Omg
That’s terrible I hope it doesn’t go through the whole thing is a bad idea they need to forget it
This stop has to be eliminated. We have a MV stop at metropolitan, enough already.
Awful
Hopefully I will be gone before this all happens. Its certainly hastening my exit.
Bring back the horse and buggy!
Truly is terrible how they pretend we have a say in this, but we don’t the politicians think they know everything and ruin neighborhoods.
This IBX is the worst thing to happen to this area of Queens Middle Village/Maspeth DOES NOT NEED THIS
