I’m aware of the tragic incident in Middle Village on 80th St & 58th Ave, where two individuals were found deceased. Police have informed me that one had been deceased for some time, and the other allegedly took his own life today.
This is all preliminary, and there was no prior police history at the home.
Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time.

The owner sounds like an entitled creep.
We don't want his "cultural space" here or his Sob story. There would have been all kinds of loudness going on after hours. He won't get a penny.

This makes no sense. We have Sunday night trash and Wednesday recycle and trash. So the compostable waste (are bags required in the pails?) rots in our backyards and on the streets for a week between pickups?? That will be great in the summer! How do they enforce. Are they opening all of the secured lid garbage containers (the last money grab) to make sure there’s no compostable waste. Seriously, give us a break! Our neighborhood has far more serious concerns that should be addressed.
Does anyone know if we can use paper/ plastic bags in the waste containers? If yes I think it’s ok .But if not then to put food/yard waste etc directly into containers is going to be nasty . Dirty and smelly , maggots and flies. Then to wash them every week with water being so expensive and time consuming.
I'm going to sit outside my house on pick up days and video where the garbage from those brown cans are going to go. I will lay you odds they're going to go in with the regular trash in those trucks.
And if you are a landlord you are supposed to sit in your tenants kitchen to make sure they do it ????

Some people are such complainers. We need to reduce our waste. There are 8 million people in NYC and the Garbage doesn’t vaporize.
Last time i tried that we got maggots and flies. How do we prevent maggots when you have to save the food scraps for 7 days when it is hot out?
Will it actually be enforced? Has the mandatory bin law been enforced everywhere?
What is the tenants refuse to use the brown cans? Who will get the ticket if it is a 2-6 family home?
Another money grab my the useless department of sanitation upper management. Dodge should come to NyC and they will find out that the DSNY has 1/4 of the employees of NYPD and more Chiefs promoted in wasted salary than NYPD. That’s a FACT! Guys sitting in an office raking in well over 200k some over 300k. Remember. They can give home owners tickets but they will never give buildings in Manhattan and the Bronx, housing projects, schools or places of worship tickets. They have narrowed it down the the single family home owner. As usual. Fuck this city.

It failed when it was voluntary because of the stink and the flies so instead of cutting its losses some commie City Council woman endorses a bill to make it mandatory and the rest of the idiots in the city council voted for it, and the mayor signed it into law. You know what’s gonna happen next right? They’re going to start telling you when you can walk on the sidewalk and where you can walk. The city is shot.😡
