Maybe instead of publishing advertorials, the media in this town can engage in actual journalism and ask why Governor Kathy Hochul gave billions to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority - MTA to blow on consultants when the IBX doesn't have CSX permission or federal approval. bqrail.substack.com/p/ibx-progress-reports-23-27 ... WTF am I missing??? Are we to understand, the company that owns this route/tracks, did not allow the city to use it? Christina PLEASE tell us this project did NOT get this far WITHOUT CSX permission? 🤔🇺🇸💪
I’m still curious what the ground studies have shown for the MV leg of this nightmare. Cause of the former swamp and what that constant vibration will do. I really encourage home owners on this nightmare line to get their foundations inspected soon. Cause they way they are forcing this through you will loose the most

If you own a 3+ family home, the City Council is about to pass a law that forces you to wait 6 months to sell it to give non-profits time to make an offer. ... See MoreSee Less
What??!!!
Can you stop paying taxes for those 6 months lol
Lee Roxx JC Keys
That's crazy ... socialism in the making. What right does the city have to tell a private homeowner when or who to sell property to. Here we go!! There is no democracy in this decision if passed by city counsel.
Just charge a high price for the 1st 6 months so that none of the non-profits can afford it.
So much for free markets...
What? That is outrageous 😤
Sounds great until you learn how much corruption there is in nonprofit world
Another city land grab
Seems like the city council had to go.
How is this constitutional??!! It’s PRIVATE PROPERTY!!!
Violation of constitution
Keep voting idiots into office and you get what you voted for
This disgusts me. Another way to destroy basically white neighborhoods and put low income housing there. Completely disgusting
Horrible
Well you voted for this socialist wonderland
THIS will DESTROY neighborhoods!! Intentional sabotage!!
Taxpayer funded NGOS!!! They are using your money to buy your property at reduced prices!!! Communism!!!
You get what you vote for comrades.
Pure unalserated Socialism
Non profits funded by DSA so they can acquire your property and continue to destroy the city

Here's IBX project director Jordan Smith at the November 6 scoping meeting stating that Woodside Station is 2 blocks from the proposed IBX. 🤥 ... See MoreSee Less
A SHORT 2 blocks 😁
“Or so” 😂
No we don’t want it
Can’t wait!
He was definitely incorrect as only at the East New York Station the LIRR would be only two blocks away, but at Jackson Heights it would be two train stops away on the 7 Subway Line.
Christina Wilkinson video showed a lot more than a 2 block connection in a not so nice location.
Right now, I have to walk over a mile just to get to the M train
Put it in your back yard
Blatant LIARS
Another Taxpayer funded boondoggle!

Here is a list of IBX transfers. This is from a 2023 MTA Planning document. "Adjacent" = direct transfer, "Within Walkshed" = walk a long way transfer. ... See MoreSee Less
A question for all of you who are complaining that residents won't use this. Did you stop to think about non-residents who work in Middle Village, Maspeth, & Glendale? Do you care about the teachers and administration who work in your schools? Do you care about the employees working at your clinics? At your retailers? At your banks? At your restaurants? Even if none of the residents in the neighborhood use the IBX, don't all of those workers deserve to be able to get to the neighborhood where they work via a quick and affordable means of transportation?
Thank you for providing this information. Way too many people have no clue they are not direct connections...
I think this is a great thing that is coming to the neighborhood! In need of more public transportation!
This is awesome. Finally a way from Bay Ridge to Jackson Heights that makes sense.
The IBX COULD run to penn station with some minor track modifications, but good luck getting the bureaucrats to understand that.
It's a great idea we have been long waiting for ...
If the MTA want to go ahead with the IBX - all stops MUST BE ADA COMPLIANT to a tuall HELP the communities
I’m still confused why this is needed as I am sure most residents that live in MV, Ridgewood, Maspeth or Glendale do not commute to Brooklyn for work.
There is literally zero logic or data behind many of these stops let alone the Eliot and Grand Ave stops that have zero adjacent or “within walkshed” connections. At minimum those 2 stops should be removed from the plan, and funds reallocated elsewhere. That should be the goal of this entire movement. The only chance the whole IBX project gets canned is if Stefanik wins next year, and that’s a big IF.
Apparently the MTA has to much money and not enough brains !
Well then we need to decide what are we fighting. They were able to stop the one in Glendale on environmental issues. Maybe Phil Wong will help our cause. I own a home nearby and it’s still shifting.
Only reason this is being discussed is to bring in indoctrinated college transplants from outside the neighborhood and city to form a voting bloc to transform the way these areas votes! You all need to get your head out of the sand and understand that is the only reason crooked politicians are having this discussion! Bring in a way these transplants can commute from these neighborhoods so they can live in these neighborhoods!! Gentrification is the real enemy, and only reason for the decline of NYC and America!!! Pass the word and enlighten your family, friends and neighbors!! The future is up to us!! Do not think illegal immigration is the only way they are trying to destroy America!
This absolutely proves that the Juniper Park station is totally unnecessary and will only slow down the commute. It serves only one purpose and that is to destroy the neighborhood thru the city of yes agenda.
