This flyer was created by someone who runs a community board, is a lifelong Democrat, and a plaintiff in the City of Yes and last year's ballot proposal lawsuit. This year's proposals, like last year's, were written by lobbyists and the mayor's charter commission put them on the ballot. The mayor has used city resources to lobby for them to be passed. They are written in a way to sound like they are making government more efficient, when they are taking power away from the people.
If you vote "yes" on any of these (or voted yes on any of last year's proposals), please don't bother to complain to us. ... See MoreSee Less
Not telling anyone how to vote, and I have to read this more myself, but why don't you also post a link with more details, pros and cons, instead of a single biased poster; www.nycvotes.org/whats-on-the-ballot/2026-general-election-voter-guide/ballot-proposals-2026/
I voted NO last year and voted NO this year for all the good it does. No one bothers to read or understands anything they do read.
I just did my early voting....No's. All around 😎

Kind of funny that they think there would be a capacity issue. Anyway, a report is coming asking that no drivers be on board. Basically, no personnel at all. Sounds safe. 🙄 ... See MoreSee Less

Automating the IBX will ensure it can run faster, handle more riders, at a lower cost: report
www.amny.com
The MTA should design its planned Interborough Express (IBX) line as a fully automated system from the beginning in order to ensure it can accommodate itsIsn't the DC Metro fully automated?
Safe for the MTA staff!
Not against automation
Has anyone given any thought to the number of homes that will be taken if this actually happens.
Fix the crumbling infrastructure first! Nobody wants this! How about a new Trauma center? Safer and cleaner streets etc. Let us not forget about the major flooding issues all over Queens every time it rains..
So a driverless train operating 24 hours a day between a bad area in Brooklyn and a bad area in Queens. What could possibly go wrong?
Believe that and I’m sure you believe property taxes will go down.
It will never happen please call TWU local 100 on this, it's only a report nothing has been determined yet .Union president John Chiarello or John Samuelson the International president you’ll get answers or ask them to come visit!
With all the neighborhoods this will run through, they dont want operators? I can imagine what it will look like after a month.
I want my horse and baggy days back again. We should be farming these fertile lands of Hudson rather than letting all the people live here. Bring back farming to five boroughs.
The new homeless express coming to your neighborhood
Sounds like a dumb idea to me. Smh
I hate this entire idea and what it is doing to the moral of everyone in our neighborhood showing that you truly cannot fight city hall, that what is best for peoples health and well being matters not at all and our political leaders are powerless unless they go with the flow and the money. Who cares if old people who have lived here 30, 40, or 50 years are upset, aggravated, living in an unsafe underpoliced area. Excuses excuses excuses thats what we get. We can't get any straight answers out of the MTA and this joke of a Mayor doesn't even address the growing violence and infrastructure destruction. I hope this damn IBX takes forever and is a huge total failure that costs them millions. I am glad I am old and sick and will be long gone and never see its end good or bad.
Vote Hochul out next week Vote red and No! IBX needs to stop! Worst idea destroying the neighborhood!
This is DOA. TWU Local 100 would never allow this

Things that are Dumb: Traveling to Ridgewood to talk about the Maspeth Library. ... See MoreSee Less
They want to offer the meeting t0 the most people. They have equipment to allow the meeting to be hybrid - people can join on-line. Maybe the library cannot offer the same. And, it's Glendale, not Ridgewood where the meeting will be.
I think it is the Ridgewood library branch that is going to close for 2 years for renovations

The community council should have a say before developers start a project. I’m sure the building on 79 st in Middle Village in the block of st Margaret was rushed thru. That block is right off metropolitan Av with one and two family homes. In fact it is adjacent to a small one family home. It is an eyesore and doesn’t fit in with the block. Parking is now more than ever a nightmare. Development has to be mindful of neighborhood integrity. We moved into a neighborhood with one and two family homes homes for a reason. Development has to be mindful of that.
Good luck, The City of Yes poses an existential threat to neighborhoods like Middle Village
We do not want City of Yes. Please save our neighborhoods.
