Please, please, please do not go through with this. I thought the city was broke??? Please fix the current crumbling infrastructure before funding any new projects!!!!!
Last night at the CB5 transportation committee, the Grand Street Bridge replacement was discussed. There will be a temporary structure built on the south side of the bridge to allow passage during demolition and reconstruction. They are looking to start in 2030 and complete it in 2034. A center-lift design was chosen, similar to this (but not as big):
Last night, the CB5 transportation committee agreed to add this to their capital funding request list.
Thanks for the presentation. Improvements are needed for sure.

It's really terrible, hard to think there are no mandates for some kind of filtration on those locomotives but hey! Paper straws will save us!
