An air conditioner on the top floor of Grover Cleveland High School once again hosted a Red-tailed Hawk nest and this time it resulted in the hatching of four babies, all of which survived. The nest sits outside a window of the school’s library and a faculty member set up a webcam so students could watch the action when they weren’t on campus. The young ones fledged just before school let out for the summer and they have been seen flying around the area since. Red-tailed Hawks tend to reuse successful nests, so this one will likely be providing biology lessons for years to come.
