The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that in observance of Presidents’ Day, there will be NO trash, curbside composting nor recycling collection on the holiday, Monday, February 16, 2026.

Residents who normally receive Monday trash, curbside composting, or recycling collection may place their material at the curb Monday evening for collection beginning Tuesday, February 17. Residents should understand collection delays may occur after holidays and winter storms. We appreciate patience as we work to collect the backlog of material.

NOTE: While Thursday, February 12 is recognized by the City as Lincoln’s Birthday and typically a collection holiday, due to the recent storm, this will NOT be a holiday, and there will be regular collection that day. Residents with Thursday collection should follow their normal set out schedule.
