We’ve seen the photos or witnessed in person the toppling of several mature trees throughout the community this year. Some of these incidents result in property damage and the closure of roads. Many of us have also reported dangerous tree conditions only to have them not addressed. In addition to this, tree pruning that was scheduled to take place by June 30 throughout the district never happened. Council Member Wong took notice and pledged to provide more staffing and funding for preventative tree maintenance and removal. This is welcome news since the falling of trees seems to be happening more frequently in our area.
