LEARNING TREE

Learning Tree Bake Sale Raises $ for Juniper Park

The JPCA would like to thank Abe Shampaner and all the good people at the Learning Tree located at 74-15 Juniper Blvd. North, Middle Village 11379, for their generous donation to the Juniper Park Civic Association in the amount of $650.
The Learning Tree held a bake sale recently and raised that much money. They very generously decided to donate the money to the JPCA, which they have done in the past.
We want to assure everyone at the Learning Tree that the $650 will be deposited in the bank and channeled through the Juniper Valley Park Conservancy. It will be put to good use to help beautify Juniper Valley Park with seasonal flowers and other additions during the course of the year.
To learn more about the Learning Tree visit their website at www.thelearningtree.org where you will see the following explanation of what they have to offer on their home page.

ARTISTIC CARPET

Artistic Carpet Introduces Free Shop
at Home Service

Artistic Carpet, which was formerly located on Grand Avenue in Maspeth, is now a free shop-at-home service. As owner, John Turano, puts it, “We bring the store to you!” and he further states “there are no television ads or home center gimmicks where people end up spending a fortune in added costs to pay for those ‘gimmicks.’
Artistic is currently looking for a location in the neighborhood and John Turano wants you to know that Harry Lambros of Harry’s Paint Store on Eliot Avenue in Middle Village was nice enough to let Artistic put their sign in their window to let you all know that Artistic is still available to provide their excellent carpet service at reasonable prices.
Remember, Artistic Carpet provides great pricing and professional installation of residential and commercial carpet, laminate sheet vinyl, vinyl commercial and luxury vinyl tile.

LONDON LENNIES–

16th Annual Get Crackin’ Crabfest Menu Back at London Lennie’s Oct. 15 – Nov. 18

Queens’ King of Fish Travels to Alaska, Delivers 8 LB. FRESH Crabs From Crate to Plate

When they stepped off the boat from Alaska this fall, London Lennie’s culinary team, led by seafood expert and restaurateur Leslie Barnes, did not come home empty handed! Just like last year’s trip to Alaska, the London Lennie’s fishermen arrived ready to transport eight-pound tender crabs from crate to plate and serve up handpicked, succulent crabs. The London Lennies’ specialty menu will again carry the crabulous flavor of fresh Alaskan King Crab to Queens, so city diners don’t need to travel cross continent to get their fix! “Even though four million crabs per year are pulled from the ocean, it’s nearly impossible to get your hands on a fresh crab in New York City. All city seafood lovers have to do is crawl to Queens!” comments London Lennie’s owner, Leslie Barnes.

Also back by popular demand is the Bloody Lennie “Crabfest Style” cocktail. London Lennies’ twist on the traditional Bloody Mary combines their famous Bloody Mary mix and Stolichnaya Vodka and is garnished with a skewer of jumbo lump crabmeat.

About London Lennie’s: Owned and operated by the Barnes Family for over 50 years, London Lennie’s has evolved from a quintessential fish n’ chips shop to Queens’ premier seafood restaurant. Famous for the best in fresh, local seafood, selected daily at the world-famous Fulton Fish Market, London Lennie’s hosts the area’s finest raw bar and has been featured in the New York Times, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast and on the Food Network, FOX Business Network, WNBC, WCBS, and WNYW, among others. Located at 63-88 Woodhaven Blvd in Rego Park, Queens, London Lennie’s is open for lunch and dinner Monday – Friday from 11:45 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with extended hours on Fridays for Late Night live entertainment for 9:00 p.m. to midnight and for dinner Saturdays from 4:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and Sundays from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Early openings can be arranged for private events.
