Cops have beefed up patrols in Middle Village to hunt down a pervert who exposed himself to two teens on their way to school.

The man, cops said, pulled up in a red car early Friday morning as two 16-year-old girls were waiting for a bus on 80th St. and Penelope Ave.
He followed them up and down the street until the bus arrived.

“There will be increased patrols by 104th Precinct personnel in marked vehicles and unmarked vehicles … until further notice,” Det. Thomas Bell told community leaders in an email.

The suspect is described as a man in his late 40s or early 50s with a mustache. He wore a baseball hat pulled down low over his eyes.
“This guy needs to be caught,” said Robert Holden, president of the Juniper Park Civic Association. “We’re glad the police have responded correctly by increasing patrols.”

Holden said he was especially concerned the incident took place nearby Public School 49, which has hundreds of youngsters.

“This is very disturbing,” he said. “He is obviously hanging around there. Parents should look out for anybody in a red car.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact the 104th Precinct at ( 718) 386-2723.
