The DOT is proposing the elimination of at least 100 parking spaces in western Maspeth and Middle Village, Glendale and Ridgewood for CitiBike docking stations. (The other half of each neighborhood will be next.) The public comment period has been extended at Council Member Holden’s request through April 30th. The draft plan can be found here where you can leave feedback:

JPCA has analyzed the plan and feels these should not take any parking away as we don’t need this many stations and it can all be accommodated on the sidewalk.

Our proposal has been sent to DOT. We, along with civic leaders representing Wynwoode Gardens, Glendale and Ridgewood, also met with DOT and CitiBike representatives on Wednesday, April 6th, to explain our concerns. They indicated they will analyze our proposal and provide feedback on the feasibility of individual locations.
