The Juniper Juniors once again responded to the call for volunteers on Saturday, October 24 at the Pullis Family Cemetery in Juniper Valley Park.

“Partnership for Parks” organizes cleanups and planting in parks throughout the city twice a year. The Juniper Juniors have been assisting the adult volunteers who have been volunteering so much of their time for many years on many days of each year.

Recently, Juniper Valley Park was designated the “cleanest park in the city”. That honor is due to the quiet efforts of these volunteers who quietly and relentlessly keep the gardens alive with beautiful colors, the lawns clean of leaves and litter. The playgrounds are clean and attractive because of these folks.

And, on this Saturday, despite the rain, the volunteers were working as usual. The energetic youngsters from Cub Scout Pack 106 from Trinity Lutheran Church, along with their parents, came out in the same rain to help these regular adult volunteers.

If you would like to help, with your time or garden tools or financial aid, contact Flo Bennett or Pete Polonski through the church office or call the Juniper Park Civic Association at 718-651-5865 or email: info@junipercivic.com.
