The car meetups are the extreme-edge of a general NYC population who disobey traffic laws. If I know that blowing red lights, blowing stop signs, double-parking, etc carries no legal consequences (because NYPD does not enforce), then I become emboldened to believe that there are zero traffic laws at all. Doing donuts with a car at night is not a big stretch from that. The disregard for traffic laws is so widespread among NYC population, that NYPD doesn't have the manpower to even put a dent in it (and many LEOs are chronic violators themselves). NYC needs to empower plainclothes deputized civilians to enforce traffic laws

I said this the reason the NYPD had a boro task force was to address things in the pct so not to take away from the patrol sectors the task force could set up check points and give special attention to areas so not to effect regular patrol

The Mayor is determined to force taxpayers who are not dependant on government, are free thinkers and who are self reliant to leave New York to be left with a population that is dependant on government and easily controllable. Money, power and control is the objective of this city administration and they are determined to make life as unbearable as possible for a portion of the population of NY.

Instead of the Mayor getting rid of some of the useless programs and cut that deficit, He cuts the one thing NYC needs. More NYPD Officers.

That was not a street take over. You should see the street take overs in Dallas Forth Worth, they even take over highways some times. They post the time and place of the street take cover, record the street take over, then post the video on line. The question is how to stop them?

Middle Village is being targeted because of the color of our skin. We have to start talking about it. 18 hours after this car / street take over, we had a group of individuals screaming racist remarks at Whites and threatening to kill. What will our summer look like? We have to fight back.

Let me ask…..if I read somewhere regarding this incident , it said that the cops had issued a summons that night to a shitbag that they had chased and he got away but was later stopped in a vehicle they were looking for. He should be : 1- sitting in a jail cell and. Not issued a summons 2- being questioned hard as to who the others are and when /why / what he knows about these street takeovers. You make his life a living hell until he gives you the answers you need to help solve this case. Period. End of story.

Has Mayor Zohran Kwame Mamdani or the NYPD Commioner made any public comments about this yet? It’s been on the news for days now.
If the NYPD didn't disban the boro task force units you would have had an additional 3 cars in the 104 on patrol and probably an additional 3 cars in the adjoining pct the CO of the 104 could have called a level 1 mobilization and all those cars would have responded but like anything the NYPD has changed so much the boro task force is now the SRG unit and they don't patrol any of the pcts they are mostly in Manhattan

Not too bright, are they? They conceal their cars with covered or phoney license plates, but don't wear masks over their faces. Aside from the fact that they post themselves doing this crap all over social media, they must have known that gas stations and repair shops all have surveillance cameras, as well as ring cameras at people's houses.
