A cannabis license was applied for at 66-28 Grand Ave and was approved by CB5 by a vote of 22-10 at their meeting this past Wednesday. ... See MoreSee Less
There’s a large one opening soon a few blocks further by 64th Street.
How about a list of the names of CB5 members that voted for this.
I don't smoke or use edibles, so I have no skin in the game. But, why the outrage? It's a legal business. It's really no different than a liquor store, is it? People go there to make a purchase, the point of which is intoxication. I don't remember anyone complaining about liquor stores in the neighborhood. Now, smoking on the street - that should be illegal. I think if liquor and weed are both going to be allowed to be sold, then the same public consumption rules should apply. The difference between the two is that if I'm drinking a beer walking down the street, there isn't an odor that sticks to passers-by for ten minutes.
2nd one on grand in Maspeth
That's fantastic news, ye ha
How far is it from the other one on Grand.
CB5 has been making some bad decisions lately. What's going on ?
Come by where I am. There is literally one about every mile or so heading towards the Nassau border depending on which street you are on. Mind you I’m on the border of queens and Nassau.
When are we going to finally wake up and realize grand ave and metropolitan ave is a commercial area. They need to add businesses there to bring revenue in. No other businesses go there because it’s a death trap and they rarely succeed. As time evolves everything changes this includes neighborhoods to think we can live in the same locations for generations is a thing of the past. We need to realize everything declines in time in city life. Older owner move to quality of life areas, past, or rent their homes. Renters are not owners and that is the issue that plaques many Queens areas.
There is one going in right at the split of grand and flushing ….WTF???
Who votes for the council and community board members?????
Ok, whose pocket was filled??
Hell noooooooo !

Although Soltage told the Queens Chronicle that a battery farm at All Faiths is "unlikely," this latest QNS article explains that Soltage currently has a lease for a battery farm at All Faiths where the trailers are stored while it negotiates with Con Edison to connect to its grid. π€
