Election Day:
The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that there would be no garbage, recycling nor organics collection on Election Day, Tuesday, November 7, 2017.
· Residents who normally receive Tuesday garbage and organics collection should place their materials out at curbside Tuesday evening after 4 p.m. for collection.
· Residents normally receiving Tuesday recycling collection should place their material out at curbside after 4 p.m. on Monday, November 13 for collection on Tuesday.
In addition, all DSNY administrative offices will be closed on Tuesday, November 7, in observance of the holiday.
Veterans Day:
The New York City Department of Sanitation announced that there WILL be regular garbage, recycling and organics collection, on Veterans Day, Saturday, November 11, as the day falls on a week with two holidays.
While DSNY administrative offices will be closed on Friday, November 10 in observation of the holiday, there WILL be regular collection, including recycling collection, on Friday, November 10.
