Just wanted to update you on an incident that occurred earlier this morning in the confines of the 104th Precinct. At approximately 6:36 am, at the intersection of Juniper Blvd North and 81st Street, police responded to calls for a pedestrian struck. Upon arrival, officers observed an elderly female who had been struck by a motorist. The motorist was said to be traveling in the eastbound direction on Juniper Blvd North, as the pedestrian was crossing Juniper Blvd North from the south side to the north side when the motorist struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was removed to Forest Hills Hospital immediately with severe head trauma, where she was later pronounced deceased. The motorist remained on the scene. This accident is currently under investigation by the NYPD Highway Collision Investigation Squad. Anyone with questions or concerns regarding this incident please feel free to write or call.
