Did you notice it was a lot quieter last night? We suggested drones and helicopters years ago only to be scoffed at by NYPD. We pay for the technology, why wasn't it being used to prevent crime in our area until now?
We should equip our neighborhood with security measures, encourage people to install cameras etc. After an incident last father's day when thieves broke into my property and attempted to steal my motorcycle I was shocked how little households have security cameras and the ones that do were not setup properly.

When you have people like DeBlasio, Adams and now Mamdani in charge they don't care until something horrendous forces change. Even then they don't care, they just give in to shut the complainers up. I guess somebody at the 104th or in Phil's office made enough of a "stink" to get this done finally

So the people that reported it said it took them 7 minutes to respond, Wong posted it took 2 minutes and now this says 3 minutes. Want to guess who is telling the truth?

They call it drag racing??? Setting fires near 2 gas stations and doing donuts while waving palestinian flags is not drag racing. It's planned disturbances and intimidation tactics by certain groups. It's going to be a long summer.

Too little too late. 1 car out of 100 gets a summons? No arrests? This city is finished. Cops whining they're not appreciated, understaffed, unsupported by elected officials and everyone blaming democrats and liberals is skirting the real issue. Our elected officials have failed us, ALL of them. We are prisoners in our homes, can't wear jewelry, take money out of the bank, go out at night. Its disgusting!

Perhaps we're overreacting just a tad? Back in the day behavior like this was confined to industrial and other non-residential areas. I'm not condoning these actions, then or now, but I bet a good percentage of the outraged people participated in similar activities. I know I did.

Given what happened To that Nypd Sergeant for throwing a cooler at someone fleeing, how could any honest New Yorker expect the NYPD to clean this mess up. If ANY force has to be used or a participant gets injured as a result of a chase (which are forbidden for such events) of any kind, the Mayor, the District Attorney, the Complaint Review. Board will all over the police. I feel for the residents but without the support of the Administration, this will not be easily resolved.
If there are no consequences this illegal behavior will continue! 😡
Confiscate there cars and this shit will stop
All those cameras that get me doing a mph over the speed limit should be able to ID some of these folks. Rather than the police sitting in their cars and giving me a summons when they think I didn’t fully stop at a stop sign when no person or car was even there they should focus on this stuff. But then again doing that would require some effort
