The chilly morning of Thursday, December 19 at 10am, JPCA celebrated the life and legacy of Lorraine Sciulli by joining Council Member Holden in co-naming 62nd Avenue “Lorraine Sciulli Way.”

Around 1980, Lorraine Sciulli began her affiliation with JPCA, and by 1990 had become active full-time. In addition to serving as first vice president, she also served as editor and advertising manager for the Juniper Berry and was chair of the membership committee. In short, no matter what JPCA was doing, she was always involved in it. She also served for many years on Queens Community Board 5. Her energy and dedication are withut parallel and the people of Queens owe a great debt of gratitude to Ms. Sciulli for her many efforts on their behalf.
