When the Parks Department moved forward with the renovation of the park house at the Juniper Valley Park upper playground, it failed to include temporary restrooms. That meant kids using the playground and tennis players using the courts had to trek all the way down to Brennan Field to use a restroom. It was an unbelievable blunder, but we suppose it kept costs down. We are happy to report that Council Member Wong petitioned the Parks Dept and they installed port-a-potties near 80 Street for the duration of the construction, which is expected to wrap up this fall.
