Maybe taking power plants offline before having an alternative plan in place wasn't the best idea. ... See MoreSee Less

‘Not Here’: Queens residents rally against battery storage
pix11.com
MIDDLE VILLAGE, Queens (PIX11) — Chants of “Not Here!” filled the air Tuesday night on 69th Place in Middle Village, Queens. Dozens of residents and several local politicians join…Y’all talking about how maspeth is industrial which is true but the one in rust st there are literally houses next to it y’all think that’s fair ?
As a Maspeth resident, I was surprised that there are already 2 plants a few blocks from my house and Robert Holden and Phil Wong both stated last night that they had suggested to 9 dot that they build their plant on a property in Maspeth instead of Middle Village. Why is Maspeth the dumping ground?
If you actually read about them, they are a great idea to stabilize the grid and MV really doesn’t have an industrial area. I do understand the concerns.
I’d feel the same, but I now live in the bubble of Bayside where the biggest QOL issue is whether to park on the driveway or the open street parking directly in front of the house.
Because Maspeth has a much larger industrial footprint than MV. But, I’m with you, Cyn. I wish there were none being considered.
Taking nuclear plants offline was a suicidal idea to impose and mandate more "green" power infrastructure. All that so few, carefully chosen individuals can fill up their packets. There was no foresight whatsoever.
My question is do protests really matter to NYC politicians anymore when the city is now a one party city?? I don't think they care about things we care about or protest about. It's not going to change anything they want to do
One party rule. The Democratic Party boses were evil genius’. Just like the devil convinced everyone he didn’t exist. The party convinces everyone to “register Democrat so you can vote in the primaries “.

This dog was taken from a bus stop by a couple who drove off in a black tinted Escalade.
UPDATE 6/2/26: The dog has been reunited with her family. ... See MoreSee Less
That's why I always say, have a good security camera system around your house for your own and your neighbors safety. When two "gentlemen" attempted to steal my motorcycle I was shocked to find out nearly nobody in the area had a decent system or if they did it wasn't positioned properly
She has been found thank you all so much 👏🏼
Post on the citizen app..
she has been returned
Praying whoever found her see this and returns her to her family🙏🙏🙏
This is my family’s dog. She was not STOLEN off the porch. She was roaming on Penelope avenue. The couple asked a neighbor if they knew whose dog it was and the neighbor didn’t know, so they took the dog- which most good people would do. Take this down and spare yourself further embarrassment please. Make sure your sources are correct before running to Facebook.

Civics have been complaining about this for decades. Nothing has changed.
Maspeth residents fed up with piles of garbage along railroad tracks
Piles of garbage along railroad tracks behind homes in Maspeth have been a problem for more than two decades, residents say. CBS News New York's Elle McLogan reports. ... See MoreSee Less
Some of it comes off the garbage trains too. Also besides people being pigs the garbage collection chaos rules causes people to just dump their stuff.
let them clean it up.....
It’s causing rats and mice infestations in nearby homes.
Problem in Woodside too on 38 av.
NYC and the MTA care nothing about our Queens community or our residents… we need to respond in kind and some.
NYC is one big shithole of illegals and leftists Democrats. Power to the Europeans who built this country and city

Hopefully gave 104 a heads up too.
It's time folks to "L9ck & Load😡
I just drove by the cops have a car at every entrance and cops standing around as well. I watched 3 teens on scooters about to enter that could not.. so hopefully this won't happen.
Wow! Violence Caution? 🤬
104 is aware of the issue.
I heard they're going to Middle Village Playground now lol
Can this be confirmed?
I think Texas just put into law Parents will be responsible
Law enforcement look up the background info on internet users of this notice of the meet up and go arrest them.
The post is deleted, but there are 3 Instagram users on that poster. Also, 2 users (youth_outside_nyc; synced_in_time) also organize takeovers. Instagram refuses to remove the accounts unless more people mass report them
Oh come on, are u serious?? We can't have anything nice anymore.
What is this?
Are they coming to Shop and Spend Money or are they going to be Looting and causing mayhem ?
What happened last night
So, did this happen?
Which race has most % of attendees @ these takeovers?! What is normally the outcome?!
