A busload of fed-up citizens spoke with their representatives or their staffs and left vital information for them on May 18th, Lobby Day in Albany. Hosting the trip, Andrea & William Scarborough led members of Queens communities voicing their dismay at the lack of action, and championing the need to protect constituents from rampant NineDot battery farm storage facilities invading their neighborhoods. Con Edison claims they have over-proliferated. Nine Dot seems to operate with immunity because of their deep pockets and seeming disdain for any citizen who dares speak out against the onslaught.

Nine Dot drags homeowners to court using fear and intimidation, trampling basic constitutional rights.

This Bill needs to get through the Energy Committee:
New York Assembly Bill A6955 Directs the department of public service to promulgate rules, regulations, and model policies regarding setback requirements for the siting of battery energy storage systems; requires
minimum setback requirements for commercial energy storage systems, with a capacity of three megawatts or greater, of no less than seven hundred fifty feet from residential property and no less than three hundred feet from residential property located in a city with a population of one million or more inhabitants; requires public hearings prior to the approval of an application for a permit for such systems.

Please contact the elected representatives on the following page and let them know you want them to pass A6955.

Among those who must timely Step Up and Defend Citizens:
Assembly Energy Chair: DIDI BARRETT, District 103 Assembly Member Ken Blankenbush, District 117
Assembly Member WILLIAM C, CONRAD, III, District 140 Assembly Member Paul A. Bologna, District 144
Assembly Member SARAHANA SHRESTHA, District 103 Assembly Member ERIK MARTIN DILAN, District 54
Assembly Member Landon C. Dais, District 77 Assembly Member Sarah Clark, District 136
Assembly Member Scott Gray, District 116 Assembly Member Jonathan G. Jacobson, District 104
Assembly Member Nikki Lucas, District 60 Assembly Member Brian Manktelow, District 130
Assembly Member Steve Stern, District 10 Assembly Member Jonathan Rivera, District 149
Assembly Member Sam Pirozzolo, District 63 Assembly Member Angelo Santabarbara, District 111

Information about RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH battery storage facilities spreads fast despite the secrecy of NineDot endeavors.

If fiercely enraged voters think a representative is stalling or not doing enough to stop a “Battery Storage Fire-Bomb” being located near homes, schools, and hospitals, constituents will also be heard through the ballot box.
