From the civic mailbox: "DOT does nothing to alleviate the countless accidents at Woodhaven Blvd and Eliot by cars going through red lights but they have no problem putting a mobile speed camera on Eliot facing Woodhaven Blvd. Light's been out for over a day but no traffic agents. What is wrong about giving speeding tickets in front of a school? Are you people for real

In the old days, the RA nuns would beat you with a ruler if they caught you speeding!

lol suuure that person thinks people “shouldn’t be speeding either,” they were probably speeding while they typed that

Flatten out the tires lol

My R7 picks that up, no problem

Surround the van trust me he will leave.

Call in suspicious vehicle near a school

Dont know about rest of but at least once a day I see a car run a light. Of course those on two wheels never stop for a light

I called 311 yesterday at 7am to report the light being out the operator told me " lots of lights are out in Queens and Brklyn"

I used to repair the speed camera vans. They rake in thousands a day

DOT truck hogging up parking spaces everywhere

Why don't we have more police pulling over wreckless drivers instead of relying on cameras. You take your life in your hands driving. No regard for the rules of the road anymore. Me, me me

DOT is useless. First thing they do is get breakfast

Money Grab 💰

Did the mayor pos require people snatching and committing crime? Need to IDs

Oh what a surprise “women of color”

This is so sad, we should start walking around with mini blow torches in our hand. I’m not joking. It’s pathetic. What goes on

This is a low life crime .The catch and release no bail is not working.

I worked on that same floor, same building when MTA was there in the 90's

So you can see more on DOB Now. Just put in Queens, block is 3025, and lot is 34. On Friday, 2/27, literally the day after rally, city approved “Architectural and Structural work for the installation of proposed concrete pads and foundation work. No change to use, occupancy, or egress.” Obviously the city nor Ninedot care what community thinks and are pushing on🤷🏻‍♂️

How is NYU involved in this 🤔? That building is owned by NYU, it's part of their campus. How is 370 Jay St. this person/company address?? I have questions 🤓🧐🧐

What is the purpose of this post?

do we need to make a visit to his home like we did with Patel and banks?

NY haunted by closing of nuclear power plant as energy bills soar, green mandates spark chaos

So you would prefer a nuclear reactor in neighborhood rather than a battery storage 🤔

Nuclear Power is Clean, dependable Energy. It's also safe. Research how many deaths were experienced from Nuclear Power Plant accidents in the US.

Solar Farms are going all over way upstate taking over Farm land all Foreign owned Companies Boralex from Canada Connectgen and Repsol from Spain also NYSEG and Rochester Gas and Electric are owned by Spain

Your NYSEG and National Grid bill you can't afford? They aren't the ones setting the rates. The Public Service Commission (PSC) is who approves new rate plans. And they meet monthly in the Agency 3 building in Albany, New York. I didn't know this until I attempted to visit the new ORES location in January. A handler escorted us out of the building (no one has called or emailed since) and let us know that the PSC holds PUBLIC meetings once a month in that same building. The next meeting? March 19, 2026 at 10:30AM EST. Location: Empire State Plaza, Agency Building 3, 19th Floor, Albany, NY 12223. The public is not allowed to ask questions... but it is your free right as a citizen of this state to sit in on this meeting. I believe if more of the public went to these meetings, the PSC would have to more carefully consider how they plan to destroy our lives with utility rate hikes. Additionally, none of us voted for those who sit on the PSC. It's compromised of 7 commissioners that are appointed by Governor Kathy Hochul. That should tell you all you need to know. The public needs to know the PSC does the following: they regulate electric delivery rates, gas delivery rates, infrastructure spending plans, rate increases (“rate cases”), and service quality standards. It's merely an arm of the governor's office tasked with implementing whatever green new deal, Climate Act, or carbon neutral agendas are pushed down the pipeline. We may not be able to vote out who sits on the PSC. But, I believe public participation in our government can start to change how these bureaucratic bodies treat the people of this state.

- A memo from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority warns that consumers could face significantly higher energy costs if the state continues on its current path to meet the goals of its landmark climate law. The memo, sent by NYSERDA, states that if the state fully implements regulations to meet the Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act’s 2030 targets, it could add $2 to the price of gas and increase annual expenses by $4,000 for homes that use natural gas and oil. NYSERDA also acknowledges in the memo that there may not be enough energy to meet demand.

Canadian solar firms and hedge funds are snatching up our farmland in the NY north country, and smothering it with solar panels. Wintertime effectiveness: 8% of capacity. Where are we going to get the electricity to power all these new residential heat pumps with which lefty city and state regulations are replacing gas heating boilers? We're getting wintertime brownouts already.

There was no back up plan when indian point was closed for the loss of megawatts to city

These green demands are ridiculous
