Those areas have been there for years. There are trash cans around the park, but these spots are where groups/parties can put their bagged garbage away. One party alone would fill up a can. Pickup trucks & utility vehicles are always driving around picking up bags. Of course, there probably will be a-wholes who would drop their household garbage there.

As long as it’s picked up everyday, I don’t see a problem

This area has been there for years and keeps the trash especially from parties in one place

When the bins are full, at least there's a corral for the bags! They have to put another sign for BAGGED garbage from children's parties, etc.

This has been there as long as I can remember. During the summer when people are having their park parties. It’s where they told us to put our trash bags when I had my daughters birthday party there back in like 21 or 22

I think they need lidded containers

Wouldn't surprise me if some walk there house trash over🤷‍♂️

I hope they mean in bags. Do they have cans there?

The Scottish and Japanese world up fans do a better job of cleaning up after a party than what we get at our park

There should be trash cans with covers in the park. We have to put our garbage in pails with attached covers. the New York City bins that we have to buy should be in the park too.

This has got to be the laziest excuse for a solution to trash management. Just throw your stuff in this big pile! What are they thinking? How often does this pile of trash get removed?

Unbelievable

I've watched at night while walking my dogs. People bring their house hold trash into the park and dumping it into the park cans. Even when the cans are already full.

So let me get this straight if we don't have trash bins we get fines but the park can set up a fence and we just throw trash on the ground. Of course it's going to all get picked up every single piece and won't be flying around in the Wind New York City Department of Parks & Recreation is managed by incompetent nincompoops

What is this insanity?!?!

Wait am I seeing this correctly?! So you want the park goers to place their trash on the floor? What about trash bins?! Unbelievable!!!

Please..who voted for this. How about more trash bins. They're making us buy special trash cans..the city needs to get better trash cans.

New dump yard. Can I bring home renovation demo here

Stupid people running this city and the parks

How stupid are people, not loose trash

Call Mta make a complaint they have a team that can come out and power wash the graffiti off. As far as the refuse . A refuse truck if it’s Mta will pick that up before end of day .

Could be NYCT trash from the offices adjacent to the tracks

It was just a matter of time. Welcome to the hood 😔

Contact Greater Ridgewood Restoration Corporation Will clean graffiti for free

Call Phil Wong….his office can coordinate the clean up

Does anybody have pictures of the old station there?

Ridgewood restoration or ACE will remove the graffiti

Graffiti is also temporary and can be washed off, why isn't that trash in a dumpster Bin

Used to be such a nice area

there should be cameras to record the graffiti artists

the forgotten station

Just discuss

Living in middle village 35+ years off Eliot is not the same! All has changed. Time to move

Reach out to Wongs office.

Why are those bags not in containers?

We are back to the 70,s. These towns were so nice and it’s a sin what has happened. 3rd world country now.

Jose's

Mandummys third world living ,with 🪳 roaches

Have they finally fixed the door? It was broke every week.

Hear ya

Should have severe punishment for graffiti

Why should middle Village be any different like every other Neighbourhood

One can’t be maintained but sure - let’s add more.

The abandoned stores there don’t help either.

The trash and garbage, graffiti and overall seediness of the area that was prominent throughout the gang and drug infested ghettos of Eric Adams’s Brooklyn has now migrated to Queens.
