Our June meeting will be focused on quality-of-life and public safety. We are heading into the summer, when car meetups and takeovers, fireworks, loud parties, illegal moped use, and park vandalism reach their peak. The commanders of Patrol Borough Queens North and NYPD 104th Precinct will be attending to answer your questions and hear your concerns. ... See MoreSee Less
The JPCA board met with MTA regarding the IBX back in April. They asked to attend our June meeting, but based on the non-answers we received, we decided it would make more sense to host them in the fall after the Draft Environmental Impact Statement is released and they have actual answers. In the meantime, here are their direct, unedited responses to some of our questions. ... See MoreSee Less
Senator Addabbo’s office set up a Zoom meeting between JPCA and MTA’s IBX team on April 23. The MTA presented the above slides, and we questioned their
MIDDLE VILLAGE, Queens (PIX11) — Chants of “Not Here!” filled the air Tuesday night on 69th Place in Middle Village, Queens. Dozens of residents and several local politicians join…

Y’all talking about how maspeth is industrial which is true but the one in rust st there are literally houses next to it y’all think that’s fair ?
As a Maspeth resident, I was surprised that there are already 2 plants a few blocks from my house and Robert Holden and Phil Wong both stated last night that they had suggested to 9 dot that they build their plant on a property in Maspeth instead of Middle Village. Because Maspeth has a much larger industrial footprint than MV. But, I’m with you, Cyn. I wish there were none being considered.
Taking nuclear plants offline was a suicidal idea to impose and mandate more "green" power infrastructure. All that so few, carefully chosen individuals can fill up their packets. There was no foresight whatsoever.
Wrong location near a school and so many homes God willing this will be stopped.
One of the lies I heard post-rally by the power plant spokesperson was this 'farm' would have prevented the frequent and lately blackouts in Middle Village etc.. but it won't because the failures are not in generation but rather the transformers and lines above ground during storms...
My question is do protests really matter to NYC politicians anymore when the city is now a one party city?? I don't think they care about things we care about or protest about. It's not going to change anything they want to do
One party rule. The Democratic Party boses were evil genius’. Just like the devil convinced everyone he didn’t exist. The party convinces everyone to “register Democrat so you can vote in the primaries “.
