Hello, Everyone –
The MTA recently announced implementation phasing details for the new Queens bus network launching Summer 2025.
The implementation of the new bus network will take place in two phases, aligning with regular seasonal timetable changes on Sunday, June 29 and Sunday, August 31, or the respective next regular service day. In Phase One, 16 new routes will launch, 67 routes will change, and 5 routes will be discontinued. In Phase Two, 1 new route will launch, 37 routes will change, and 1 route will be discontinued. The final plan includes a total of 124 routes (vs 113 existing): 94 local routes, and 30 express routes.
Riders are encouraged to:
• Visit mta.info/queensbus to learn about new travel options.
• The new route look-up tool lets the user select any bus route from a drop-down menu to see the latest information on their specific route(s) when the route will be changing and links to additional detailed information. The route look-up tool works with “Google Translate,” which enables customers to read information on their specific route(s) in their preferred language and can be found at the bottom of the web page.
• For a more personalized approach, use the future trip planning tool, which enables inputting a start and end location to see their trip options.
• The Project Phasing Guide shows when every route is changing at a glance.
• Map lovers can preview the new network with Remix, an interactive web-based mapping tool that enables customers to see if and how their route changes in the new network.
• Stay up to date on service changes and subscribe to receive service alerts for your current Queens bus routes. The MTA will email or text you service changes, as they happen, as well as reminders when routes are changing this summer. You can also sign up to receive alerts for subway, Long Island Rail Road, and Metro-North Railroad services, and escalators and elevators.
Please help us spread the word by sharing these tools with your friends and neighbors.  We will continue to send updates as we work towards our two launch dates.

Sincerely,
