The 104th Precinct would like to make you aware of an incident that occurred earlier this morning, September 10, 2026. At approximately 12:02 am, Officers responded to the vicinity of 72 St and Juniper Valley Road, Middle Village. Upon arrival Officers were met by a male individual who stated he was returning home from a nightlife establishment in Astoria, when he noticed one male perpetrator across the street who displayed a firearm and shot one round into the air. The perpetrator then crossed the street, pointed the firearm towards the victim and demanded his jewelry. The perpetrator then fled the location. The NYPD Evidence Collection Team responded to the location and retrieved one small caliber shell casing in the vicinity. This incident is currently under investigation by the 104th Precinct Detective Squad. As always, please write or call with any information.
