On January 12 Middle Village was abuzz as the home of Proud Boy supporter Eduard Florea was raided and he was taken away in handcuffs. Florea, 41, pleaded guilty in Brooklyn federal court before U.S. Chief Magistrate Judge Cheryl L. Pollack to one count of “transmitting threats to injure” for threatening U.S. Senator Raphael Warnock and one count of possessing ammunition after having been convicted of a felony. His sentencing guidelines call for 15-21 months in prison, and he is scheduled to be sentenced November 29.
