Queens Borough President Donovan Richards said he welcomed comments regarding City of Yes prior to his hearing on the issue. When JPCA submitted testimony via the email address his office supplied, it was rejected as undeliverable. Now that’s what we call good governance! When contacted, his office did provide an alternate email address to which we successfully resubmitted our testimony, but what about all the others who either gave up or didn’t see the rejection? Richards ended up voting for City of Yes against the wishes of the 80% of those who personally testified against it, anyway. He even showed up at rallies in favor of it.
