It’s no secret that we have a major problem with trucks using our residential streets as shortcuts. Here is a gigantic 18-wheeler on 74th Street trying to turn west onto Caldwell Avenue. Is this a location where a truck this size should be seen? Caldwell Avenue is one lane from Eliot Avenue to 69th Street and a truck this large and heavy can cause some serious damage to the road, street furniture, parked vehicles and possibly even pedestrians.
