Four Queens banks were robbed late last year, and police believe the perp revisited Astoria Bank on February 4th and Capital One bank on February 14th, both on Metropolitan Ave. Police say that the suspect went into the Astoria Bank at 75-25 Metropolitan Ave in Middle Village at about 11:35 a.m. He did not display a weapon, but he passed a note that demanded cash. The teller handed over $8,000 and the suspect fled eastbound on Metropolitan Avenue.
The same suspect is believed to have robbed the same bank, at approximately the same time, on December 30th, making away with $7,400. On November 24th, he is believed to have robbed the Capital One Bank at 74-11 Metropolitan Avenue. He walked up to the teller, passed a note and fled on foot with about $750.
He also robbed a Capital One Bank on Forest Avenue in Ridgewood last December 9th, grabbing $2,617 in cash. Police described him as a male black, about 5 feet 6 inches tall and 190 pounds.
