Trucks have been straying off the LIE and wreaking havoc in our neighborhood for years. The JPCA worked with several elected officials and DOT Commissioners to install signage warning truckers to stay on truck routes. However it’s apparent that not enough was done to alert all truckers. This illegal 53’ trailer knocked down a pedestrian walk light and smashed a mailbox. JPCA board members took the plate number from the truck and the 104th Pct. was alerted. The City of New York keeps replacing the signs at a cost of tens of thousands of dollars instead of placing additional signage near the LIE. Dumb!
