Mayor Michael Bloomberg will make his third visit to the Juniper Park Civic Association on Thursday, March 3rd, 7:45pm at Our Lady of Hope School Auditorium (Eliot Avenue and 71st Street). In October, 2001, candidate Bloomberg visited the JPCA and was given a standing ovation by over 500 residents. Talk show host, Curtis Sliwa highlighted the evening with a rousing introduction.
In December 2003, Mayor Bloomberg visited the JPCA to receive the 2003 Man of the Year Award as over 600 residents praised the Mayor for brokering a deal with Keyspan to turn the 6.5 acres site into a park and save the community fom a giant Home Depot Superstore.
This year Mayor Bloomberg will report on issues concerning Middle Village, Maspeth and the City. He will help honor Councilman Dennis Gallagher, who will receive the Juniper Park Civic Association 2004 Man of the Year Award.
