Middle Village’s Bruce Knopf was lucky to spot this Long-eared Owl last year and quick enough to capture it in these photos. The hooter was spotted near 80th Street. Shortly after the pictures were taken, the bird took off toward Juniper Valley Park. Thank you to Sally Wong for passing these along to the Berry.

Can we get more details about this attempted car jacking and shooting at juniper last week? Wasn’t reported anywhere except from the man’s mother on other neighborhood Facebook groups
