In an open letter to the community on the restaurant’s Facebook page, London Lennie’s owner Les Barnes penned the following: “For the past 60 years, my family and I have been serving the community with the finest and freshest seafood. We will carry on the tradition for another 60 years.” Ever since Barnes had listed the site for $6.5M last May, there have been rumors that the restaurant would soon be closing. Barnes told the Forest Hills post in an interview that he was “only exploring the value of the property.”
