Queens Borough President Melinda Katz has won the general election for District Attorney. We wish all the best for the incoming DA and hope to work as closely with her as we did her predecessors. Keeping Queens safe relies on civics, police and electeds working together. Acting District Attorney John M. Ryan, who wrote our June 2019 cover story on the late Queens DA Richard Brown, will step aside on January 1st and retire. Brown was a hard act to follow but Mr. Ryan did a great job and we thank him for his decades of service to the county.
