A graffiti cleanup of government-owned street furniture in Maspeth and Middle Village was conducted on November 22nd. Participating were Len Santoro, Richard Polgar, Tyler Myers, Christina Wilkinson and Steve Garza. Armed with maps revealing the locations of mailboxes and fireboxes, the team painted over any graffiti and stickers present on them. Supplies were provided by Kramer’s Paint and Hardware, which threw in 3 free cans of blue mailbox paint. Are you interested in adopting a mail or firebox near your home? Kramer’s can order the paint you need. Rustoleum makes the best paints for the job, and the shades are as follows: “Charleston Green” for the relay boxes, “Indigo Satin” for the blue mailboxes and “Regal Red” for the fireboxes.
