This Cash for Cars type sign was pasted onto
the back of a DOT truck route sign at 69th
Street and Grand Avenue. The condition was
called into 311 on September 21. The following
day, we received a response to the 311 complaint:
“The Department of Transportation inspected the
condition and opened a repair order. Repairs of
this type are corrected within 180 (120 Biz) days
from the date of inspection.” It takes 1 day to get
an inspector out there, but up to 6 months to correct
the problem? Furthermore, do any of these
folks who hang professional-type signs ever get
caught or fined
