This pedestrian traffic island at Borden Avenue and has seen better days. It used to have a one way sign on it, but that has been removed, likely because it was knocked over by a vehicle. The cracks in the cement indicate that multiple vehicles have passed over or parked on this triangle. The girl in the photo was headed to the bus stop in the background, which is not appropriately sited. Although they have heavily invested in Vision Zero initiatives, NYCDOT doesn’t seem to care much for the problems of pedestrians.
