The Queens Courier reported in March that the $800K renovation of the bocce courts at Juniper Valley Park has had less than desirable results. Players have complained that water rolls off the canopies and drips on the courts, rendering them unusable. In addition, the benches are too low to allow spectators to watch the action. Too bad this money wasn’t instead put toward fixing up the playgrounds.
