The 104th Precinct has limited manpower but generally has a good response to street takeovers. But what happens when they respond is that the cars scatter and drive recklessly. A still taken from footage of one of these incidents at Juniper Valley Park this past October shows the cars driving in the wrong direction down a one-way street. At other moments, cars can be seen endangering pedestrians as they try to cross the street. We need better surveillance of the technology used to communicate these event locations, and a coordinated boroughwide response to stop them before they kill someone.
