The NYPD arrested an upstate man for stealing automatic flushing mechanisms from fast food restaurants in late December. Richard Mirabile, 44, of Congers, was hit with burglary, criminal mischief, petit larceny and attempted petit larceny charges. On 8 occasions, Mirabile allegedly entered the restroom of a fast food restaurant each time and left with the $250 parts. Victimized were: Wendy’s on Fresh Pond Road, a Burger King in Astoria, Arby’s and Wendy’s on Metropolitan Ave, Bean-N-Bean coffee shop in Flushing and another Arby’s in Fresh Meadows.
